UNDER CONSTRUCTION
-
Sorry our site is still under construction, we specialize in cutlery and knife sharpening, not web design!!
-
We are working very hard to have this site up shortly, but aren't willing to sacrifice the quality of our work or the level of personal attention our customers receive to slap up a cool web site.
-

What we do:
-
We offer a premium on-site knife sharpening service in King County, Washington for commercial and residential accounts.
-
Our mail order sharpening service makes our services and products available to anyone in the United States who has access to the U.S. Mail.
-
Knives and kithen wares for sale. We offer a limited number of items for sale. We personally test, compare and read reviews from the most reliable and unbias sources on all the products we sell to make sure that our customers are getting the best value for their money. You would be amazed at how often the most expensive knives and kitchen wares are not the best overall quality or value! We generall try to stick with the "Good, Better, Best" theory when putting knives and kithen wares on our site for sale. This is not necissarily the same as the "Cheapest, Mid-priced, Most Expensive" theory, though sometimes that may be the way it works out.
-
Ask about our Residental Knife Exchange program and Try It Before You Buy It programs. They are the first of their kind being offered anywhere.
-
If you own a high quality set of cutlery you're in the right place! We specialize in the sharpening of premiun quality cutlery including Henckles, Wusthoff, Messermeister, MAC, Global, etc.
-
We can work with most types of blades including:
> Forged steel
> High quality stamped steel
> Serrated edges
> Single bevel (Japanese style with one flat side)
Sorry, we cannot sharpen Cutco brand serrated knives, knives with an "EverSharp" (we call it "NeverSharp") edge, or any ceramic blade knives. They must go back to the manufacturer or are not meant to be sharpened.
-
If you have a medium quality set of cutlery don't fear, we will give it (and you) the same excellent care that we give to the more expensive pieces. In fact, this is often the area where we are able to make the most improvement in cutting performance since the knives will often come back to you with a much better edge than they had when they were new!
-
If your cutlery is of dubious quality, please call us for advice before sending it for sharpening. Often the steel used in lower quality knives is not going to retian a sharp edge for very long no matter what you do to it. We can offer options and free advice to you on what you should do. Often we tell people that they would be better off purchasing different cutlery instead of trying to salvage theirs. If this happens to you, please do not be insulted! We are only looking our for your best interest. Although we do sell some cutlery, it is not our main focus and we will not try to pressure you in any way to buy from us. We can ask some pertenant questions and narrow down what will work best for you in your budget. You can also go to our LINKS button and look at articles and information related to knives and sharpening.
-
You can always call or email us if you have questions!
-
Dedication to quality:
-
Having witnessed (and repaired) almost every kind of botched sharpening job you can imagine, we have dedicated ourselves to excellence in our profession. Our work is of the highest quality and your satisfaction is quaranteed!
-
I don't know about you, but when I go to a web site and see a picture of a guy standing over a giant grinding wheel in a an old fashioned shop or factory sharpening a knife and the sparks are flying everywhere, it makes me nervious!!! Do I really want to send my valuable cutlery to someone who is going to torture it this way? I don't think so!
-
I can tell you this, there won't be any sparks flying when we sharpen your knives. We use the latest equipment (diamond coated wheels and stones) and the most time tested equipment (Japanese water stone) where appropriate to ensure your knives get the best care and are extremely sharp when you get them back. We make sure your cutlery is sharpened to the proper angle and finish without damaging the temper of the metal. This is crucial, since you can sharpen a knife to razor sharpness, but if you ruin the temper, the edge will not hold for very long and you will need to resharpen it frequently.
-
How do our prices compare:
-
NEWS FLASH! We are not the cheapest place you are going to find to send your cutlery for sharpening, BUT... we're also not the most expensive. There are places out there that offer to "sharpen" your knives for as low as $2 a piece for any shape, size or edge style and there are places that charge almost $2 per inch. How much time and care do you think someone is going to give your cutlery for $2? Let me answer this retorical question for you, not very much!
-
We have searched the internet extensively. We have shopped the competition on-line, over the phone and in person. We talk to customers (and people in general) to find out what is going on in the area of cutlery sharpening and sales. We even send sets of our own cutlery out to our competitors for sharpening after intentionally dulling the blades to test their prices, quality and service. Believe this, there is no consistency or corillation in quality, price or service at all!
-
We charge a fair price for our work, provide excellent service and give personal attention to your order. If you have a special request, please ask and we will do our best to accomodate you. We guarantee you will be happy with our service!
-
Thanks again and we hope to hear from you soon
